Today, in a live Facebook press event, Interfaith Worker Justice (IWJ) announced an international investigation into Nabisco’s outsourcing of American jobs and the exploitation of workers in Mexico – where workers are reportedly paid about $1 per hour. The announcement by IWJ took place at the Chicago Temple.
Participates from the Chicago Federation of Labor, Chicago Jobs with Justice, Nabisco 600, and the religious community, including IWJ Board Chair Pastor Doug Mork, delivered powerful messages of support for Nabisco workers and the campaign to end the outsourcing of union jobs by Nabisco/Mondelēz.
